 Membership
Application
Membership in the Friends organization is open to past FMF participants
(hereinafter referred to as JFMF), JFMF volunteers, colleges, universities, museums, schools, school districts,
Japan associations, cooperating organizations and individuals interested in
boosting the JFMF program. Along with your membership card, you will
receive a complimentary lapel pin that displays the FMF logo, and a copy of the
latest edition of Tricycle on CD. Membership
fees help offset the administrative efforts needed to encourage school districts
to support those teachers who are awarded JFMF fellowships, helps the
Friends maintain the Website [www.friends-fmf.com].
Members are encouraged to organize community, state, regional, national
activities and meetings to share their Japan-related experiences, projects and
plans aimed at fostering friendship and mutual understanding between Japan and
the United States. Each year we
recommend members of the Friends whose final reports are exemplary,
to make presentations at future departure orientations in San Francisco.
The cost of membership is $40.00 [from July 1 to June 30], payable by check
or money order to Friends of the Memorial Fund,
2131 Fourth Avenue West, Seattle, WA 98119.
